Class Teacher for September 2021

We currently have a class 1/2/3  for children aged 6-9* and plan to start a new class 1 in September 2021. This is an opportunity for someone who has the passion and enthusiasm to continue to develop the class years in a small innovative Steiner School alongside the current team. Due to small pupil numbers, the class is likely to become a joint class containing two year groups. It is essential that the teacher has an understanding of Steiner Early Years Education to support the Class in their transition from kindergarten.

Teaching will commence for the new class one in September 2021 although the appointed person will need to be available for some paid hours of preparation from June 2021
We are looking for a Steiner trained teacher or a qualified teacher willing to undertake Steiner Teacher Training. This post is not suitable for a person wishing to complete their NQT year.
This is a full time post ( 38 weeks term time plus statutory holiday) Annual salary: £17,687 ( under review)

Kindergarten Teacher to cover Maternity Leave from April 2021 – June 2022 ( approx)

We currently have two kindergarten classes for children aged 3-6 years old, sharing the early years indoor and outdoor space and are looking for a full time Kindergarten Teacher to cover maternity leave.

This is an opportunity for someone to join a strong team providing a bespoke Kindergarten Curriculum in a small innovative Steiner School in inner city Leeds.

This post will commence in April 2021.

Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO) needed to cover Maternity Leave from June 2021-June 2022 ( approximately)

This post is for seven hours per week and is term time only (39 nine weeks per year)

For this post, you will need to be a qualified teacher with either:

Steiner Waldorf trained (minimum of NVQ Level 4 Early Years + teaching experience)
or:
QTS/ NVQ Level 5 Early Years Education qualification + teaching experience, with significant knowledge of Steiner early years and prepared to undertake Steiner-Waldorf training

A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and related legislation is essential

(This post is suitable if necessary for an existing SENCO either from another Steiner setting who would like the opportunity to work in our school and who has capacity to take on extra hours) 

Annual salary: in the region of £17,000 pro rata

Volunteering at Beechtree

We do accept applications for student placements and volunteers at Beechtree, usually to work in the kindergarten and classrooms alongside staff. This requires a enhanced DBS that can be arranged via Beechtree. However, we cannot always guarantee that we have availability. Please fill out and return the following application form if you are interested.
