Breakfast Club Leader

We are currently recruiting for a Breakfast Club Leader at Beechtree Steiner Initiative- a thriving Steiner Waldorf Early Years Setting and Independent School in Chapeltown Leeds for children aged 3 -9 years old.

The post is for 4 mornings per week, Monday to Thursday inclusive, term time only from 7.45am-8.45am and is to run an established small breakfast club for mixed aged children up to age 8 using the Early Years Steiner Curriculum, the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Class Years Steiner School Curriculum as appropriate.

Requirements for the post
· QTS/ NVQ Level 3 Early Years Education qualification + early years experience and/or teaching experience.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· To have a commitment to a deepening of your understanding of the principles of Steiner Waldorf education
· To be eligible for registration under the Children’s Act 1989

Salary £8.50 per hour

Cover Assistants

We are currently recruiting for cover assistants at Beechtree Steiner Initiative in Chapeltown, a thriving Steiner Waldorf Early Years Setting and Independent School in Chapeltown Leeds for children aged 3 -9 years old.

We are looking to build up our pool of assistants who provide cover for staff training and sickness. The main aim of the role is to assist the Kindergarten teacher with the overall welfare of the children and to respond to their individual needs. Tailored training and support provided.

Requirements for the post
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· To have an interest in deepening your understanding of the principles of Steiner Waldorf education
· Five GCSE’s or equivalent including English and Maths (Grade C+)
· To be eligible for registration under the Children’s Act 1989

Temporary Finance Administrator

We are looking for a temporary finance administrator for three to six months to oversee the day-to-day running of the finances.

You must have experience of using QuickBooks (or similar software) in a work setting, good IT and numeracy skills – GCSE Maths grade C minimum (or equivalent), be able to maintain accuracy when handling a demanding workload and have good time management and organisational skills. You will be confident and reliable, able to act on your initiative and able to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks.   The successful candidate will share our commitment to providing a safe, professional learning environment in line with Steiner pedagogy.

Please note that this role is temporary as it is likely to be developed during this time. 

Salary: £8.31 per hour

Hours: part time – 16 hours per week (ideally over 3 days), 41 weeks per year (term time plus an additional two weeks)

Parent and Child Group Leader

We run daily indoor and outdoor parent and child groups based on Steiner pedagogy for children aged 0-3 and their carers. We are looking for someone who can lead an indoor group on Thursdays and an outdoor group on a Friday.   

The post is 8 hours per week term time only plus monthly staff meetings and will start the first week of November 2019

Rate of pay £8.31 per hour.

Closing date: Thursday, October 17th 2019.

The postholder must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with adults and young children, an understanding of the needs of parents and an understanding, or a desire to learn about, the Steiner pedagogy.
