Where are the Parent & Toddler groups held?

All sessions are held at:
Stainbeck Community Hall
162 Stainbeck Lane
Leeds LS7 2EA

This is just off the Scott Hall Road (A61) on the 91 bus route and near to the 2/3 bus routes.

We welcome parents and their children between the ages of 0-3. The parents enjoy a crafts activity while the children join in or play. It is a social occasion, with songs, a story, and sharing food together. This provides an opportunity to discuss matters relating to child development as well as meeting new friends (child and adult) and a gentle introduction to the Steiner early years approach with its structure and philosophies.

About the Parent & Toddlers
The Parent & Toddlers group meets three times a week in term-times. Children aged between 0-3 are welcome with their parents or carers. We follow a structure similar to a Kindergarten session, enabling the children to become familiar with the rhythm of the morning and to feel secure within it. We begin with a craft or baking activity and allow the children time to play, explore and be with each other. We tidy up, ready to eat snack together, sing songs and finish by listening to a story. It is a chance for parents and children to meet in a gentle, welcoming atmosphere. We ask each family to bring a piece of fruit to share.

You are welcome to visit the Parent & Toddler for an initial visit. Please call the Beechtree line on 0113 226 5689 to arrange this. During your visit you may fill in a Registration Form and make a preference for the session you wish to attend. Your name will be placed on the Waiting List and you will be contacted when a place becomes available to join the Register. Once on the Register, we will ask for the full termly fees at the start of each term (£3.50 per session).
Parent & Toddler Sessions from summer term 2008 are: Wednesday & Friday mornings 10-11.30am and Friday afternoons 2-3.30pm
